Greetings from the Skunkworks that is RationCrate.com. I hope that you find our new look more appealing and our
products worth purchasing.
It is my goal to make RationCrate.com more informative and to provide you with some links to additional WW2 wooden crate/ration related sources of information.
UPDATE on shipping costs. I have new shipping boxes (smaller) I an resetting the cost to $15
I am
really trying to keep costs down...shipping costs are bad and the price of wood is going UP UP UP. The price of the K's and C's will stay 45
for the time being but at some point I am going to have to go up or go out of business.
I will be expanding the product line as time goes on and as demand dictates so check back often to see what is new or what is coming.
About me:
I have been involved in the reenacting world since 1991, first in Civil War reenacting and later (1993) in WW2 reenacting.
I have done Infantry, Airborne and USMC. I have a 1942 Ford GPW that you will see in some of the pictures on these pages,
and a 194? Bantam ¼ ton Trailer that will also appear from time to time. The RationCrate.com global distribution center and
state of the art manufacturing facility is located in my backyard. My back yard is located in North Central Louisiana very near
the city of Monroe.
About Buster:
Now I know that this is what you all have been waiting for! Buster is a lot of Jack Russell Terrier and a little "unknown".
He is always ready for a Jeep ride especially with the windshield down. Busters favorite food is MEAT and his favorite color
is of course OD Green. His hobbies are sleeping, eating and watching me work in the RationCrate.com global distribution center
and state of the art manufacturing facility.
These crates are hand made by me. The dimensions are based on original specifications and all markings are based on photographic examples.
Likethe original ration crates these crates are not perfect, and no two are exactly the same. The original crates were never intended
to be examples of finelydetailed woodworking. They were manufactured for one unglamorous purpose...to get their contents to our
Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen all overthe world in the best possible condition. Besides our regular customers we currently we
have 1 crate deployed at the US Army Quarter Masters Museum in VA, 1 crates with the National D-Day Museum's living History Corps,
1 crate in the D-Day Museum, and 1 crate at the Aviation Historical Museum of Louisiana.
Please click on the links to the left of this page to view the products that Rationcrate.com currently has available.
Those of you that have purchased a crate from me in the past please send me some pics of your crate in action and I will post them.
Please feel free to submit any ideas for products that you think the reenacting world cannot live without.
